Oregon recruit Cliff Harris, a four-star cornerback who could be in line to take over some playing time with Jairus Byrd’s NFL defection, was arrested at a Fresno, Calif., high school Wednesday for felony assault.

The easygoing Hawaii native he is, Max Unger is trading the NFL Draft green room in New York City’s Radio City Music Hall for a subdued living room in Eugene on Saturday, hanging out with his family, who flew in Thursday, rather than commissioner Roger Goodell.

Drummond takes MPSF Newcomer award
Oregon freshman midfielder Jana Drummond started off the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament on a positive note when she won Newcomer of the Year Wednesday at a banquet for teams and coaches.
The freshman leads Oregon with 37 points, and the Ducks have gone 10-2 since she began starting.

Ex-UO thrower Henry receives USATF grant
Congratulations to ex-Oregon thrower Brittany Henry, who received a $4,000 Elite Athlete Developmental grant from USA Track & Field today, one of 10 athletes awarded a grant.
Henry competed for Oregon from 2005-2007, breaking the school’s hammer throw record under the coaching of Lance Deal.
