Michael, I just looked at a whole group of your recent photos. You are really doing a WONDERFUL job. I especially liked the baseball and women's lacrosse, the duck, and the bus and the close-up of Naom Chomsky. Super!

Most likely those who showed up are familiar with Chomsky's work, but in case you're not, especially good overviews are in Understanding Power, Hegemony or Survival, and Failed States. There is also a website www.chomsky.info with background and new interviews, essays, etc. posted all the time.
Note the RG had front-page coverage today of a ridiculous politician's controversy that brought out 75 people each for and against, but I was unable to find any mention of this event.

What were the organizers thinking? There must be larger facilities, but
maybe this was one way to prevent too many from hearing what is not
a popular opinion.

i live in the lorax, its pretty much the best place to live on campus. you are surrounded by the college scene but you can escape into a world of students like yourself who have a likeminded goal of sharing and cooperating withing the same space. our houses are low cost and since we own our house, we only pay for fees which provide dinner 6days a week and lunch 5days a week. vegan, vegetarian, organic and mostly local products at low cost. come check out the houses and get a free tour and stay for dinner! lorax will host its next event thursday the 21st which is an art showing and live art project. face/body painting, live painting and artworks, screen printing (bring a tshirt), live music, hair wraps, you name it we'll have it.

unless someone like you care a whole awful lot, nothings going to get better, its not -lorax

great pics... unfortunately you're incapable of accurately reading the "official" results as Kevin Godfrey did NOT win the 400 meter race. It was in fact David Formolo, the small town kid from the community college next door, on the left of the picture who WON the 400 meters. Even all the way up here in Alaska I can read the "official" results.

You photos are very impressive. I'm more of an outdoor/wilderness/flower photographer. As a parent, I've tried my hand at sports photography at the kids' events and found it frustrating that I couldn't get the same quality results as I'm use to elsewhere. Definitely takes the right equipment and a lot of talent. Thank you for sharing that talent with the rest of us.
