Rachelle Hacmac is a senior journalism student and staff photographer at the Oregon Daily Emerald. She enjoys all types of visual storytelling may it be still photography, multimedia, or video. She studied at the University of La Verne, Clackamas Community College and the Brooks Institute of Photography before deciding to continue her studies as a visual journalist at the University of Oregon. Rachelle has shot from the wine fields of the Willamette Valley to the pebble beaches of Nice, France and is excited to finish her education this Spring.

Oregon’s Hawaii Club prepares for Saturday’s 36th annual luau

This evening I photographed Oregon’s Hawaii Club as they prepared costumes and practiced dancing in Gerlinger Hall’s Woodruff Gym. The luau will take place Saturday night in the EMU Ballroom.

“Wicked” takes over the Hult Center

The Wicked crew and local union stage workers transform the Hult Center stage into the Wicked set on Tuesday morning. Broadway musical Wicked will be performing at the Hult Center in downtown Eugene from April 20 through May 1.
