ASUO election results: Ben Eckstein and Katie Taylor win executive race; no run-off needed

OSPIRG Board Chair Charles Denson, "Ben & Katie" Campaign Manager Ben Bowman, "Students United" supporter Demic Tipitino, "Students United" Campaign Manager Brian Allen, and presidential candidate Cimmeron Gillespie react to Ben Eckstein and Katie Taylor's presidential election. Eckstein and Taylor received 52.4% of the vote.

University senior and elections coordinator William Price opens the folder of election results.

Ben Eckstein and Katie Taylor are the president-elect and vice-president-elect, with 52.4% of the vote in the primary. Because they received more than 50% of the vote, there is no general election.

Elections Coordinator William Price (right), ASUO Student Office Assistant Addison Moore (lower left), and ASUO Leadership Advisor Consuela Perez-Jefferis highlight winners of each race and indicate whether the primary results require a run-off. If a candidate receives the majority of the vote, there is no run-off.

Alexis Pennington’s memorial service
