Oregon’s Hawaii Club prepares for Saturday’s 36th annual luau

This evening I photographed Oregon’s Hawaii Club as they prepared costumes and practiced dancing in Gerlinger Hall’s Woodruff Gym. The luau will take place Saturday night in the EMU Ballroom.

Rachelle Hacmac is a senior journalism student and staff photographer at the Oregon Daily Emerald. She enjoys all types of visual storytelling may it be still photography, multimedia, or video. She studied at the University of La Verne, Clackamas Community College and the Brooks Institute of Photography before deciding to continue her studies as a visual journalist at the University of Oregon.
