Drummond takes MPSF Newcomer award
Oregon freshman midfielder Jana Drummond started off the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament on a positive note when she won Newcomer of the Year Wednesday at a banquet for teams and coaches.
The freshman leads Oregon with 37 points, and the Ducks have gone 10-2 since she began starting.

Lacrosse beats Saint Mary’s 17-10 after dropping to Cal in 3OT
Oregon women’s lacrosse earned its 11th win Sunday by beating Saint Mary’s 17-10 in Moraga, Calif.
The newly ranked, No. 18 Ducks (11-4) lost to Cal on Friday 13-12 on overtime to lose the team’s first game since March 26. Its 11th win ties the UO record for regular season wins with last season’s team.

Lacrosse’s Senior Day memorable for the freshmen
On Senior Day at Papé Field, it was truly the freshmen’s day.
Freshmen sister starters Jana and Jess Drummond combined to score six goals Saturday in Oregon’s 15-10 win over Virginia Tech. The win gives Oregon its 10th win of the season, and drops the Hokies to 7-8.
