House Passes Health Care Reform Bill

EMU Post Office still under closure consideration

The U.S. Postal Service on Wednesday took 401 post offices off of its nationwide list of facilities it’s considering for closure, but the Campus office remains on the chopping block, the Washington Post reports. You can see the list here.

DeFazio changes time for Eugene Town Hall meeting

After changing the venue for his Tuesday town hall last week, U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio has moved the event forward fifteen minutes. It will now begin at 5 p.m., but it will still be held in the Eugene Hilton.

Government moving to ease student loan pressure

The New York Times reported today that the federal government has been taking measures to decrease pressure from student loans. Among the provisions of the plan:
