Maybe this story is a little important?

The University, the Oregonian reports, is seeking to basically get the next 30 years’ worth of state funding in one lump sum. This, it believes, will increase independence and so forth.

  1. This “new” proposal sounds like Frohnmayer’s old “new partnership”/autonomy scheme. It was a bad idea then and now. How is it that no reporter asks this president “So you just got here and suddenly you are the expert and we should trust you to fix everything ?” He is a snake oil peddler. UO undermines all OUS schools. The state should cut it off entirely. If you want the public to understand UO bonding limitations you should interview Nathan Tublitz.
