LeGarrette Blount reinstated

The press release finally came out this morning that everyone had been expecting since before the Stanford game last week: suspended running back LeGarrette Blount has been reinstated by the Oregon Ducks. Head coach Chip Kelly didn’t talk a lot about it. He said in his weekly press conference that the behavioral and academic ladders Blount passed were a matter of “student records and are private.” Blount took reps as the fifth string running back behind LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner, Andre Crenshaw and Remene Alston so he touched the ball only five or six times. But everyone is still happy to see that he’s back and Jeremiah Masoli said that it’s nice because it won’t be a distraction anymore.

Look for more coverage in the Oregon Daily Emerald tomorrow.
