The Ducks pulled away from Arizona State in the first set with a nine point win. The set was close until the Ducks went on a dominating 9-0 run to finish it off. Sonja Newcombe leads the Ducks with 4 kills so far, while Arizona State is currently hitting .ooo as a team. Hopefully the Ducks will carry the rhythm they found at the end of the first set into the second as well.
