After one half of play, the Broncos are in complete control of this game, up 13-0. They have played stellar defense, holding the Ducks to just 14 yards in the game and no first downs. They have had the ball for only 5:50 minutes, compared to BSU’s 24:10…
BSU QB Kellen Moore is 14-for-20 with 133 yards and a TD. Masoli is 2-for-10 with 8 yards.
On to the thoughts…Basically, BSU is tearing UO’s secondary apart with intermediate routes. There haven’t been any long plays, but just consistent five yard gains that eat up clock time. UO is actually luck that it’s not 19-0 BSU. The Broncos were on the UO 1 with a first and goal, but three straight losses pushed them back to FG range, where they missed a FG. Then the Broncos missed another field goal. Considering the field position the Broncos have had because of UO’s lack of moving the ball on offense, UO’s D should be commended for at least partially holding the Broncos.
But still, this game is all one sided. Unless the Ducks come out with some fixes in the second half, this could very well be a shutout for the Broncos. Check out our coverage in the second half for more updates.
Dude I think the problem is in the offensive line. not holding blocks very long and letting people through. The receivers aren’t helping the flushed quarterback either. You have to back to the quarterback and be ready for anything that might come at you. Dropped passes bad routes. Never go east/west when you’re backed up in your own zone either. Every 10 year old with a ps3 knows that.
Just need to step up.
Yeah, the O line is definitely not holding any blocks whatsoever. But the D line just got blown off the line that last possession too.
