Nick Gower’s July 22 response to Kallaway’s e-mail

Here’s Gower’s reply to Kallaway’s first e-mail. He also attached Sam Dotters-Katz’s 5.17 compliance at the bottom.

Emma:

The memo you sent out yesterday says “[t]his memo is purely informational and any questions or concerns please feel free to direct at Emma Kallaway”. Last year Sam sent out a letter to be in compliance with the Green Tape Notebook 5.17: “The president shall establish and publish his or her own criteria for fulfillment of duties within one month of taking office.” Your memo includes a section titled “Goals for 2009-2010″ which establishes five bullet pointed goals:

•       Work closely with programs to improve resources
•       Improve outreach to students
•       Research cost effectiveness of our current transportation options
•       Increase fundraising
•       Research and plan for continued funding of the late night library

Are these five goals your formal criteria for the fulfillment of duties for the office of ASUO President in accordance with GTN 5.17? Additionally, if this is your criteria, why are we recieving this past the June 24 deadline and why is the memo memo backdated to June 24 as the “original date”?

I’ve attached a copy of Sam’s criteria for fulfillment of duties from last year for your reference. I encourage a comparison of the two documents.
