Women's Basketball adds recruit for next season

The Oregon women’s basketball team announced that point guard Candyce Flynn of Rend Lake (Ill.) JC has signed a Financial Aid Award Letter and will join the Ducks next season.

The 5-foot-6 Flynn, a native of Cleveland, spent one year at Morehead (Ky.) State before transferring to Rend Lake. She averaged 14.3 points and 5.1 assists per game last year while earning all-Great Rivers Athletic Conference honors. She will be a junior for eligibility purposes.

Flynn is the second recruit of new Oregon women’s basketball head coach Paul Westhead, along with Kristi Fallin of Umpqua Community College. She joins Nia Jackson (redshirt junior) and Micaela Cocks (senior) at the point guard position.
