University not cutting intermural sports. Club sports on the other hand…

KVAL reported Friday that, despite plans at OSU to cut as many as 12 of the school’s sports teams because of budget problems, the University of Oregon is not considering such a move, with an allusion in the story to donations by Nike honcho Phil Knight. However, club sports, I’m told are not so lucky.

This evening, when I was at Job #2, ASUO Sen. Tina Snodgrass sent me a text message that said people at club sports are planning to cut the men’s ultimate frisbee team. I imagine there will be more details on this to come.

  1. Truth says:

The men’s ultimate team played a shirts vs. shorts game, that means nude from the waist down. This was done in Corvallis Oregon.
