A day after the first, and a day before the second

Courtside at Gonzaga yesterday.
PORTLAND — Just a quick take to say that we’ll be back tomorrow for the second round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament, which will feature Purdue vs. Washington in the West Region and Western Kentucky vs. Gonzaga in the South for the chance to get to the Sweet 16.
The late game turned out to be the best one as WKU knocked off Illinois, a year after getting to the Sweet 16. I don’t see them getting past Gonzaga, for who all of their weaknesses in spurts against Akron put a huge run on top of the Zips to crush them down the stretch.
