Oregon 12 Santa Clara 3 Game 1 final
Oregon trounced Santa Clara 12-3 in the first game of Saturday’s double-header behind seven strong innings from junior righty Erik Stavert, a seven-run seventh inning rally and a two-run blast to dead center in the eighth from catcher Mitch Karraker who led the Ducks with four RBIs on three hits. Stavert struck out 10 and gave up two runs on five hits and three walks.
