So I woke up this morning to the sun shining in my window. Despite the ominous clouds all about, it looks like today will be a good day for baseball, albeit a bit cold. Most weather services have today listed mostly sunny with a high of close to 50 degrees. Today’s chance of precipitation rests around 10 percent.
The chance of rain goes up each day of the weekend: Saturday is listed as mostly cloudy/scattered showers with a 30 percent chance of precipitation; Sunday is cloudy/showers – 60 percent chance of precipitation.
I wouldn’t normally tell anyone how to do their job but here’s my take: Friday will be the nicest day of the weekend and Sunday will almost surely be rained out – so why not play a double-header Friday? I mean, that’s why we have lights at PK Park right? Coach Horton is going to have to be consistently creative with his scheduling in order to get these early spring games played in the Willamette Valley. This weekend will be his first challenge in that area.
