Fourth quarter: Safety makes it Oregon 27, Stanford 22

3:05 p.m.: Masoli fumbles the ball on a quarterback scramble to the left of the field near the sideline, giving the ball back to Stanford. It looked like it could have rolled out of bounds, but the fumble, forced by Bo McNally, went to the Cardinal inside their own 20-yard line. It’s been just part of an uneven day for Masoli passing and running. The ODE sports team will be covering part of that story for our post-game coverage today.

After a 30-yard pass play from Pritchard to move the ball to the 50-yard line, his screen pass to Anthony Kimble ran it down to the Oregon 28….but a holding call will bring it back to their own 43.

3:16 p.m.: The play is starting to look like the weather: Ugly. Blount lost four yards to put the ball on the Oregon 1-yard line, and then two plays later, a high sap from Max Unger went out of the back of the end zone for a safety. It’s now Oregon 27, Stanford 22 with 8:41 left.

3:20 p.m.: The Pritchard pass is intercepted on a tip by Jairus Byrd, but a pass intereference call nullifies it. Boos, not quite as thick as the rain, come down on the officials. On replay, Byrd had his right hand around the waist of Ryan Whalen, Stanford WR, and it looked like a good call.
