Two Ducks earn Pac-10 weekly honors; FSN picks up UO vs. Stanford

Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and placekicker Matt Evansen were today named Pac-10 players of the week on offense and special teams, respectively. Masoli and Evensen were factors in Oregon’s 54-20 road win at Arizona State that propelled the Ducks back into the top-25 in the polls and BCS standings.

Masoli accounted for 232 yards total offense and two touchdowns in the win while completing 17 of 26 passes (.654) for 147 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown pass.  He also led the Ducks in rushing with eight carries for 85 yards (10.6-yard average) and one touchdown. The Oregon offense scored 54 points and piled up 537 yards total offense (304 rushing, 233 passing) and the Ducks were forced to punt just twice in the game.

Evensen, a senior from Portland, Ore., connected on two of three field goal attempts, including a career-long 52-yard attempt, was 5-5 on PAT attempts and had five of his 10 kickoffs go for touchbacks. It was Evansen’s second weekly award of this season.

Also, GoDucks.com’s “From the Pressbox” Blog has announced that the Nov. 8 home game against Stanford will be televised at 12:30 p.m. on FSN. That leaves the Nov. 15 Arizona at Oregon game as the only game remaining on the schedule that hasn’t been picked up for broadcast yet.
