Schillaci said: “I will NOT be a resource that is disrespectfully used. The ASUO should have discussed this with me when it had the best chance to, not when it became most convenient to do so. It is shamefully disrespectful to me that I was thrown like a scrap of meat from Sam’s administration to Emma’s. It is not my job to serve students anymore, and what ASUO did [is doing] was [is] hurtful and rude. Organization would have benefited all involved parties.”
Wall Street Journal praises Wyden health care bill
The Wall Street Journal ran a lengthy editorial today praising Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) for a health care bill he created as an alternative to the public plan being proposed by Barack Obama, praising it as bipartisan. However, labor unions are opposed and one blogger points to hefty campaign contributions given to Wyden by health care industry lobbying groups.
New dorm design details; University to expand museum
On June 10, as indicated in this official record, the University’s Campus Planning Committee met to discuss ideas for the construction of the new dormitory. This link on the University’s HR page indicates that Richard Lariviere will be restructuring the president’s office. The following administrators will change positions: Michael Redding (Interim VP for Advancement who becomes VP for University Relations), Tim Black (Director of Intergovernmental Relations who becomes Assistant Vice President), and Becky Couch-Goodling (becomes Executive Assistant to the President).
